Join us as we mark Ascension Day, featuring uplifting music from the Cathedral Choir and commemorating the moment when Jesus Christ was lifted into heaven following his resurrection.
After rising on Easter Day, Jesus remained with his disciples for forty days, teaching and preparing them for what lay ahead. On the fortieth day, he promised that the Holy Spirit would come to them, before being “lifted up… out of their sight.” The Ascension marks a pivotal moment in the Christian story: as Christ’s earthly ministry draws to a close, his followers are entrusted with sharing the good news of God’s love with the world.
