Volunteer Showcase and Mini Tours for Heritage Open Days

17th September @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

FREE

Discover the captivating history of Newcastle Cathedral through the eyes of our dedicated volunteer team. Join us on either Thursday 14 September or Sunday 17 September, at various locations within the building to gain an insider’s perspective.

Drop in and chat with our volunteers as they share their first-hand experiences and insights about their roles. Witness demonstrations of their brilliant work and immerse yourself in the Cathedral’s rich heritage.

Don’t miss the chance to enjoy our ‘Cathedral History Tours’, free of charge, at 1pm and 2pm and ‘Tower Tour Tasters’ at 1:30 and 2:30pm. Please note: spaces on these tours are strictly limited.

Tickets are available to book in advance via the Cathedral’s TicketSource page.

Although usually closed on Sundays, Café 16 will be open on Sunday 17 September, for Heritage Open Days.

We hope you can join us to experience our volunteers’ passion, knowledge and enthusiasm. You might even find yourself inspired to become part of this remarkable team!
