For this interactive exhibition, Newcastle Cathedral has commissioned artist Lucy Farfort to produce illustrations of six of the world’s most endangered animals. There are many reasons why these animals are endangered; some are connected to climate change and some are not. But sadly they are all related to the actions of humans.
But we can all take positive action to make positive change in the world. There are many ways that people try to do their bit to help tackle climate change, such as: flying less, driving less, eating less meat and dairy, recycling, shopping locally and using renewable energy.
Not all of us can do all of these things but collective small steps can make big changes.
Make your mark and use the materials provided to add colour, pattern or a message of hope to the African Elephant, Amur Leopard, Black Rhino, Orangutan, Gorilla and Hawksbill Turtle. Share your work using #newcastlecathedral.
This exhibition is one of a series of initiatives and activities this autumn, held in support of the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow.
