An event every week that begins at 1:05 pm on Monday, repeating until 4th November 2020
From October 2020, we are delighted to be resuming our Monday Organ Meditations at Jesmond United Reformed Church. These occur on Mondays at 1:05pm.

We are very keen that the Cathedral’s organ music remains an important part of the cultural life of the city and region, and so a temporary new home for these meditations has been kindly granted by Jesmond United Reformed Church.
Jesmond United Reformed Church is a little more than 5 minutes’ walk from Jesmond Metro Station. If you presently come into Newcastle by train, the metro line can be accessed at Central Station, you can board any train for ‘St James via The Coast’ or ‘The Airport’, and travel for 3 stops.
The organ at Jesmond URC was, like our organ, build by TC Lewis, and completed in 1890. Its only rebuild was by Henry Willis III in the 1950s, so this instrument remains one of quality, beauty, and distinction. We wish to thank in advance the secretary, elders, staff, and congregation of Jesmond URC for their generosity in enabling our series to continue and flourish. We do hope that you can join us.
Recitals begin at 1:05pm and last 40 minutes. Admission is free, but we ask the audience to give generously in a retiring collection.
