Petertide Ordinations 2024 – Deacon’s Ordination

The Petertide Ordinations for the Diocese of Newcastle take place on the days surrounding St Peter’s Day. These services mark the initiation of new deacons into the journey of priesthood and the ordination of new priests.
This year’s priests will be ordained on Saturday 29 June at 11am, and we will welcome this year’s deacons on Sunday 30 June at 3pm and Tuesday 2 July at 7pm.
Our soon-to-be deacons will serve their titles in parishes across our Diocese. The three new priests, who began ordained ministry as deacons last year, will continue to serve their existing parishes as curates.
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to the ordinands, their loved ones, and members of the parishes and communities in which they will serve.
