The Newcastle Cathedral History Tour – POSTPONED

21st October @ 11:30 am - 12:15 pm

Give As You Feel

For more than nine centuries, Newcastle Cathedral, originally the Parish Church of St. Nicholas, has stood as the beating heart of Newcastle.

During this guided tour, you’ll have the opportunity to discover the Cathedral’s architecture and hear captivating tales about historical figures linked to this sacred space. Learn about our associations with Cuthbert Collingwood, Admiral Nelson’s trusted comrade; admire the medieval-inspired Victorian carvings by Ralph Hedley; pay respects to the enigmatic Unknown Knight, and much more.

This tour starts in the Cathedral Nave, beside the medieval font, and lasts approximately 45 minutes. This tour is entirely wheelchair accessible.

Tickets are available via TicketSource on a Give as you Feel basis with a suggested donation of £6.

Your generous donation enables us to continue programming events such as this. It also helps us maintain this beautiful building, continue our charitable work and keep the doors open for all.

While some tickets may be available on the day, we recommend booking beforehand to avoid disappointment.
