Help us keep music at the heart of all the Cathedral does

Would you like to help to support a long tradition of choral music in the Cathedral and provide our young singers with experiences that will last them a lifetime?

Today Newcastle Cathedral continues to provide high class music for daily worship and special events.

The Choir enriches the life of the Cathedral and its worship, but to the choristers it brings much more – a unique musical education from an early age.

It is important for the Cathedral to ensure that the widest possible repertoire of Choral works is performed for congregations and audiences, through the liturgy, concerts, broadcasting and recording.

In order to provide music for the ~200 services sung by the choristers each year at the Cathedral, we incur costs of around £120,000.

Your Gift

Help us keep alive the tradition of child choristerships. With your support we can bring enormous benefits to the lives of talented young people. Contributing to our choristerships is easy and we greatly appreciate donations of any size.

The above figures are before Gift Aid. Higher rate taxpayers are able to reclaim the additional relief, which we hope will encourage them to give at a higher level.

Gift Aid – make your donation go even further – if you are a UK tax payer, you can increase your donation at no cost to yourself by completing the Gift Aid declaration on the form.

Regular donations help us to maintain our priorities and plan our work for the future. By setting up a standing order, you can make a donation electronically from your bank account and choose the amount, frequency and length of your support. Please do consider supporting us in this way.

Individuals and corporate sponsors have the opportunity to be tutored by a professional musician and to join the Cathedral Choir in concert. Company branding can be displayed online and in concert programmes.
