Online Chorister Experience

Saturday 20 March, 10.30am – 11.30am via Zoom (free of charge)

The Cathedral’s Music Assistant, Emily Stolting, writes:

Although the pandemic has made it difficult for us to deliver our usual programme, our boy and girl choristers continue to rehearse online.

Last year we held a very exciting day in the Cathedral called the Newcastle Cathedral Chorister Experience. This term we are delighted to offer a fun virtual experience for children in Years 2, 3 and 4.

The Online Chorister Experience will last one hour and include fun songs and musical games led by a range of our expert singing teachers and vocal leaders, as well as a chance to meet some of our existing choristers, and a virtual demonstration of the Cathedral organ and brief tour of the Cathedral.

This session is perfect for youngsters with a passion for singing, who would like to sing with others online. Although we would love to welcome new-starters, there is no obligation to become a Cathedral Chorister after this initial session.

Families will need to register beforehand in order to take part. If your child is interested in joining, email music@newcastlecathedral.org.uk to register and receive log-in details.

We are adhering to a rigorous Digital Safeguarding Policy in all of our activities.
