Find out moreOur volunteer guides offer guided tours on the Cathedral’s architectural history, archaeology, ledger stones, memorials, windows and military colours.
These guided tours allow visitors the chance to climb the 162 steps and experience breathtaking views of the city.
Fascinating interpretation panels and a sound and light display are designed to bring the Cathedral’s 900-year-history to life
The Newcastle Beatitudes form a trail around the outside of the Cathedral, inviting visitors to pause, contemplate and pray if they wish. The trail can be followed by individuals at any time.
The Cathedral café offers fresh, tasty food and refreshments, served in a relaxing setting. Brought to you by The Oswin Project.
In our new retail space, we’re proud to support and showcase work created by a range of talented North East artists and creators.
We are a wheelchair and pushchair accessible building. However, because of their age, some areas of the Cathedral – such as the Lantern Tower and St George’s Chapel – have limited access.
