The immersive Stories in the Stones has been designed to bring our vast collection of ledger stones (memorial grave covers) and the stories within them to life. Ceiling-mounted lights highlight the stones in the north aisle, as an audio experience begins. The characters tell their own stories, giving a brief but colourful insight into their lives.... Newcastle Cathedral is home to an assortment of curious creatures and brilliant beasts. You can find them in our floors, windows, statues, monuments, paintings and carvings.
