SUMMARY:Sung Eucharist for the Feast of Pentecost
DESCRIPTION:The Day of Pentecost comes fifty days after Easter Day and brings the Easter season to its joyful climax. Join us for this Pentecost service\, with music from Schola Cantorum\, the Cathedral’s upper-voice ensemble of adult sopranos and altos\, made up of both local singers and students. \nA major feast in the Church’s year\, Pentecost recalls the gift of the Holy Spirit to the disciples\, as told in the Acts of the Apostles. Filled with the Spirit\, they were able to proclaim the good news of God’s love in many different languages to the crowds gathered in Jerusalem. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a service remembering the gift of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church. During the service\, we will travel to different parts of the Cathedral as we are led through the journey of the Holy Spirit in creation\, prophesied about\, and poured out. \nOne of the ways in which we experience the gift of the Holy Spirit is through prayer and the laying on of hands.
