SUMMARY:Curious Creatures – Family Activity Sessions
DESCRIPTION:Newcastle Cathedral is home to all sorts of curious creatures. Join us to hear tales of dreadful dragons and crafty rabbits\, take part in creative art activities\, and make your very own creature to take home. \nChoose from one of two sessions: 10–11:30am or 1:30–3pm\, and drop in anytime during these times. \nThese sessions are recommended for children aged 4–11 and their grown-ups. All children must be accompanied by an adult. \nWhile booking isn’t essential\, we encourage you to register in advance so we can make sure there’s plenty of space and materials for everyone to enjoy. \n— \nVisiting for the first time? \nNewcastle Cathedral is committed to being a place of welcome for all. We are dedicated to the care and protection of everyone who visits. \nAs well as being\, first and foremost\, a working church\, we offer targeted support for vulnerable individuals seeking emotional and physical refuge\, including prison leavers\, those recovering from addiction\, people experiencing homelessness\, and survivors of gender-based violence. \nWe aim to ensure that all visitors have the information they need to enjoy a safe and positive experience. \nPlan your visit \n \n

(Adult supervision is always required for children attending Small Sounds.) Please note: You only need to book in advance ahead of the first session you plan to attend. \n\nAlongside Small Sounds\, we also run weekly after-school music programmes during term time: \n\nMini ChoriStarters – for children in Reception and Year 1\nChoriStarters – for children in Year 2\n\nIf your child would like to join either of these groups\, please email music@newcastlecathedral.org.uk for more information.
