DESCRIPTION:This Advent and Christmas\, we are delighted to present a collection of work by last year’s cohort of first-year Visual Communication and Digital Culture students from Northumbria University. \nDrawing inspiration from the story at the heart of Christmas\, the students have explored the themes and meanings of the story to create thoughtful\, contemporary visual responses. \nWhatever your own perspective – believing\, unbelieving\, or differently believing – we hope this exhibition enriches your reflections within this Cathedral space. \nThe annual Northumbria University Carol Service will take place at the Cathedral on Monday 15 December. \nNorthumbria University Carol Service 2025

Uncover the fascinating stories behind this magnificent building – from its medieval origins to its enduring role at the heart of our community today. \nGain unique insights and personal perspectives as your guide brings the Cathedral’s rich heritage to life\, sharing tales of faith\, resilience and Northern innovation. \nThese tours are available on a ‘Give As You Feel’ basis\, with a suggested donation of £7. Your support helps us maintain the Cathedral\, continue our charitable work\, and keep the doors open for all. \nPre-booking is not compulsory; however\, please be aware that each tour has limited spaces available on the day.
