Special services
The Cathedral celebrates all the major festivals of the Christian year including Christmas, Easter and Pentecost. We also host civic events and services in support of local community initiatives and our fellow churches in the Diocese of Newcastle.
Live-streamed worship on Facebook
Join our clergy every weekday morning for Morning Prayer, live-streamed on Facebook, where a dedicated congregation finds fellowship and belonging beyond our physical walls.

If attending the Cathedral in person isn’t possible, you’re welcome to join us online for Choral Evensong and Sunday morning Sung Eucharist, broadcast via our YouTube channel.
Our choirs
Our Cathedral Choirs play an essential role in the daily rhythms of this sacred space. Depending on the day of the week, you can expect to hear a different group of talented singers celebrate Choral Evensong.
