A BEACON OF LIGHT
At a time of bereavement, perhaps more than any other, we naturally turn to God for solace and reassurance that our loved one is safe, and not lost to us for ever. As Christians, we believe that death is not the end, but the beginning of eternal life in heaven, and that one day we shall be reunited, in God’s love and peace, for all eternity.
This is the message at the heart of the Christian funeral service – and there is a skilled and compassionate team of Clergy and Readers here at the Cathedral with many years’ experience, among them, of guiding families through this saddest of times, and leading funerals and memorial services which are a fitting tribute to those you have loved and lost.
The Cathedral can offer three spaces for a funeral, memorial service or celebration of life – suitable for small, medium and large gatherings – and facilities for a funeral tea or other refreshments afterwards can be arranged.
Please let us know how we can help. It will be our privilege.
