Advent Procession of Light

Join us for a captivating candlelit service featuring carols, choral music, readings and prayers. Join the Choir as they move from the encompassing darkness to the radiant light, symbolising our collective journey towards the arrival of Christ.
This year, the Church of England invites us to reflect on the serene heart of the Christmas story – Mary cradling the newborn Jesus, the Light of the World. In the midst of this busy time of year, discover moments of peace at our Advent and Christmas services.
This service will also be live-streamed via our YouTube channel.
All services at Newcastle Cathedral are free to attend, with no pre-booking required.
