Join the choir

Newcastle Cathedral Choir is renowned for high standards of music within the liturgy. It consists of two separate and independent choirs of young singers (trebles) – up to 24 boys and 24 girls.

Mothers’ Union, Newcastle Diocese

Rooted in prayer and action, Mothers’ Union was adopted early on by Newcastle Diocese. Every first Thursday of the month, Midday Prayers are led in Newcastle Cathedral by Mothers’ Union members.

Bell ringing

Today, the bells at Newcastle are rung by the Newcastle Guild, members of the Durham and Newcastle Diocesan Association of Change Ringers. They are all volunteers and range in age from 20s to 93.
