Please join us for a short prayer service, followed by refreshments and the opportunity to explore our new exhibition, ‘Jagged Edges’, and meet the artists.
In ‘Jagged Edges’, the artists have drawn on their own experiences of abuse and moral injury in a church context to make meaningful connections between the familiar story of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection, and the experiences of those harmed in Christian churches. These survivors are inviting us to look at Jesus’ trauma and see his story as one of abuse and of God’s love for and solidarity with those who have been abused. They are also reaching out to the rest of the Church with an invitation to engage in the work of healing the broken relationships in Christian communities.
This is a free event with no pre-booking required.
