Come along to Café 16 in the Cathedral Refectory for an afternoon concert by the Phoenix Chamber Folk Ensemble, raising funds for the Oswin Project.
The Phoenix Chamber Folk Ensemble is a mixed-instrument ensemble with 30+ members, including leaders Marina Dodgson and Maurice Condie. They play new arrangements of traditional folk music, including Northumbrian tunes, that celebrate the region’s rich musical heritage.
Café 16, operated by Northumberland charity the Oswin Project, provides mentoring, training, and employment opportunities to people with criminal records seeking a second chance.
Refreshments will be available throughout the performance. Come and enjoy wonderful music while supporting an inspiring cause!
Please note: This event is organised by the Oswin Project. For enquiries, please contact Clare, the Café Manager (see above).
