Founded 80 years ago by British and Irish churches, Christian Aid has long been a voice for justice and compassion. This powerful exhibition traces eight decades of campaign posters and imagery, illustrating the organisation’s global impact.
Newcastle Cathedral is proud to be the first venue to host this inspiring display, which highlights how Christian Aid has used design, photography and slogans to communicate a call to justice.
Discover how poster art reflects shifting design trends, historical change and the evolving role of international charities.
Timed to coincide with Christian Aid Week (11-17 May 2025) and encompassing Holy Week and Easter, this exhibition showcases how Christian Aid works in partnership with communities of all faiths and none to ensure that all people can live a full life free from poverty.
