The Late Shows, an award-winning late-night free culture crawl, will return on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 May 2025 to venues across Ouseburn Valley, Gateshead and central Newcastle.
This year at Newcastle Cathedral, you can pre-book to join a churchyard tour starting in St Nicholas Square. Was Queen Victoria truly unamused by her visits to Newcastle? Why does a ‘Vampire Rabbit’ overlook the Cathedral? Delve into these mysteries and uncover the lives of those buried here.
This tour is fully accessible for wheelchair users and follows a circular route, starting and ending at the statue of Queen Victoria in St Nicholas Square, NE1 1PF.
Please note: Newcastle Cathedral’s interior, including toilet facilities, will not be accessible during The Late Shows 2025.
Each tour will last approximately 20–30 minutes. Pre-booking is essential, as spaces are limited.
