Join us for ‘A Ceremony of Carols’ sung by the Cathedral Schola Cantorum, with harp accompaniment. Benjamin Britten composed this piece from March to April 1942 while crossing the Atlantic during the Second World War. It remains one of his best-known works.
The Cathedral Schola Cantorum is a group of adult sopranos and altos, a mixture of locals and students who sing music for upper voices. Singers are predominantly volunteers, with the addition of the Alto Choral Scholars. You are warmly invited to join them for this performance, in-person or online.
