From Sunday 28 September to Saturday 18 October, Newcastle Cathedral will host a donation point in support of West End Refugee Service (WERS).
During Cathedral opening hours, visitors can drop off donations at the designated point, located beside the retail space and next to St Margaret’s Chapel.
Since 1999, WERS has been working at the forefront of tackling poverty, isolation, and prejudice in Newcastle and the North East of England – meeting urgent needs while advocating for lasting, systemic change. Their services empower individuals, strengthen resilience and equip people with the tools they need to build a brighter future.
To make the greatest impact, WERS has shared a list of the most urgently needed items for their food parcels. Please only donate from the list below:
Every item you give will make a real and practical difference to individuals and families facing challenging times. Read the article below to hear from the Revd Canon Zoe Heming, Canon for Mission, about why we’ve chosen this incredible charity…
Please check our Visitor Notices page for any exceptions to our regular opening times.
