Northern Proud Voices is the North East’s largest and only LGBTQ+ and allies choir, proudly celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.
The choir will return for its fourth annual concert at Newcastle Cathedral, closing Pride Month on a joyful note and building excitement for Newcastle Pride with powerful, uplifting pop anthems.
Kate Husband, representative of Northern Proud Voices, says: “It is a huge privilege to be asked to perform again at our annual Newcastle Cathedral concert.
“We are a non-audition community choir that is thriving as a space to sing, socialise and be safe in a world that is increasingly challenging. We are, however, flourishing and growing and take great comfort knowing it is a place where people can come to just enjoy their singing in a non-judgemental and inclusive space, and if hate is shouting, we will just sing and love louder.
“We are so pleased that the Cathedral continues to welcome us with open arms and to support our vision of singing out loud and proud in Newcastle.”
Please join us for an inclusive evening of music as Northern Proud Voices “raise the rafters” and celebrate 15 years of community, music and belonging.
Tickets will be available soon – sign up to our e-newsletter for updates and booking information.
