Organ Music for Holy Week: Anthony Gray (St Wilfrid, Harrogate)

FREEJoin Anthony Gray, Director of Music at St Wilfrid’s Church, Harrogate, for a FREE organ recital during Holy Week, reflecting on Jesus’ arrest, trial and suffering before his crucifixion.
The recital will feature Philip Moore’s ‘Via Crucis’ (‘The Stations of the Cross’), a moving and contemplative series of compositions:
i) The Agony of Gethsemane
ii) The Kiss of Judas
iii) Art thou the Christ?
iv) The Denial
v) Pilate washes his hands
vi) The Scourging
vii) Bearing the Cross
viii) St Simon of Cyrene
Newcastle Cathedral’s Monday organ recitals are FREE to attend, with donations warmly welcomed.
