Bass Lay Clerk

Reporting to: Director of Music
Hours and remuneration: Flexible – fees paid on a sessional basis

We are looking for a talented and experienced singer who wishes to perform at a high level in a professional singing role.

Community Engagement Officer

Please note: This role is externally funded.

Reporting to: Canon for Mission
Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week (annualised)
Salary: The salary is £19,635 pro-rata (£16.78 per hour; £32,725 per annum FTE)
This role is offered on a 3-year fixed-term contract

This new position will play a key role in ensuring the Cathedral’s work is created with, and reflective of, the people of Newcastle and the wider North East. The role will focus on developing relationships, enhancing visitor experiences, and delivering impactful events and programmes – primarily, though not exclusively, centred on arts and heritage – in collaboration with both internal and external partners.

Cathedral Lantern Project Officer

Please note: This role is externally funded.

Reporting to: Cathedral Lantern Project Lead
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: The salary is £28,000 per annum
The post is offered on a fixed-term contract until 31 May 2027

The post holder will work alongside visitors to the Cathedral who are navigating life’s challenges, developing innovative approaches to address their needs or connecting them with existing services. They will play a key role in shaping the culture, relationships, and programme of activities associated with this work, including engaging with individuals with multiple and complex needs, and ensuring that appropriate signposting, information, advice and guidance are readily available.
