Our choirs
The choirs of Newcastle Cathedral are central to the daily rhythm of this sacred place. Depending on the day, Choral Evensong is led by different ensembles of our talented singers.
Children’s programmes
We’re delighted to offer FREE expert-led music-making sessions for little ones – from babies and pre-schoolers to Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils.
Schools Singing Programme
Newcastle Cathedral’s music programme begins in the classrooms of a large and growing number of local primary schools through our involvement in the National Schools Singing Programme.
Our organ
The Cathedral organ accompanies choral services and large-scale special services. This magnificent instrument takes centre stage in our lunchtime Organ Recital Series, held every Monday at 1:05pm.
Services & music schedule
The Cathedral Choir enhances our worship with regular opportunities to listen and enjoy. Whenever they are in residence, they lend their voices to services throughout the week.
